Time effects are just that. The manipulate the time of the signal.

1. Delay is a delay effect takes the signal and repeats it later at the selected time from milliseconds to 2 or more seconds. 
2. Reverb shapes the signal from the guitar into an environment the sound is coming from. For instance, room reverb would replicate the sound of a guitar played in a room, concert hall would have a really deep reverb sound and canyon would have a long echo type reverb. 
3. Looper is a pedal that in simplest of terms is a digital recorder. You play a riff while "recording" with a looper then play back the track. Great for having a backing track to jam with. Some higher end loopers can do basic track editing, drum beats and bass tracks.
